Sustainable Development Education Program Spring Summer 2020 Registration
From May 2020 our courses our Workshops in international development and sustainability will be offered online for the first time. The main objective is to provide participants with new knowledge and skills useful for anyone interested in making a social impact. Our workshops are not only for this working in development, nonprofit NGOs or socially responsible businesses, but anyone interested in learning. Participants will develop:

    1) An enhanced understanding of current global issues
    2) Critical thinking skills
    3) A better understanding of sustainable development
    4) A deeper understanding of civil society
    5) English communication skills

Spring / Summer 2020 online courses
* "The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Introduction to key issues & case studies" Saturdays, 10:00-12:00, 8 times,  5/23 - 7/11 (40,000 yen)
* "Cross Cultural Communication & Conflict Mediation Skills" Mondays 6:00-8:00 pm, 8 classes 5/25 - 7/13 (40,000 yen)
* "Professional writing" course  on X nights time hours cost

The course contents have been developed for adult learners with intermediate to high-level English skills. Workshops will include presentation, group discussion, and one-on-one discussion with instructors.There will be ample opportunity for all participants to increase their language and communication skills, however, workshops will not focus on English language learning. All course materials provided freely online.

About Dr. Thomas Meyer
Dr. Thomas Meyer is a graduate of the University of Oxford Department of Education. Thomas also studied at the University of Essex Human Rights Centre, focusing on international humanitarian law. With many years as an educator for academic and professional skills, he also came to be interested in the sociology of curriculum through his teaching experience in Japan. His research touches upon not only human rights learning in the curricula, but also teaching and learning practices in the classroom. Thomas’s many years as a researcher and educator makes him well suited to meet a variety of writing needs for students in his classrooms.
