Why you should support this:

The East Bank Neighborhoods Partnership, which includes Marcy-Holmes (Dinkytown), Southeast Como, Nicollet Island-East Bank, and the Mid-City Industrial neighborhoods would like to permanently include the University Neighborhood as part of our organization.

By being part of the EBNP, University Neighborhood stakeholders will have better access and resources to:
  • Advocate for pedestrians & bicyclists
  • Enhance off-campus living
  • Demand improved transit services
  • Improve access to parks
  • Strengthen neighborhood safety
  • Increase sidewalk lighting
  • Conduct voter registration drives
  • Organize neighborhood cleanups
  • Promote environmental sustainability
  • Influence local elected officials

Please Note: the University Neighborhood has never had a neighborhood organization representing its interests.

In order to be recognized by the City of Minneapolis' Neighborhood & Community Relations department, we need the support of current University neighborhoods residents, business owners and property owners.

What is the East Bank Neighborhoods Partnership?

The EBNP is a hub for community participation, organizing events, programs, and forums that encourage dialogue and connection among neighbors. From advocating for pedestrian-friendly infrastructure to supporting local arts and cultural activities, the EBNP plays a vital role in shaping the neighborhoods’ development while maintaining their unique identity. We work closely with the University of Minnesota to balance the needs of student renters with those of long-term residents, ensuring a harmonious and inclusive community.
