MRGE is an online network of medical students, trainees, doctors, independent biomedical researchers, and faculty members in all Arab countries. MRGE was established in July 2014 by Dr. Ahmed Negida as Egypt's Premier Medical Student Research Group.

The aim of MRGE is to create an environment that promotes medical research in the Arab countries, enhances students' involvement in biomedical research, and opens new opportunities for early career researchers.

All work in MRGE is under the direct supervision of Dr. Negida.
