To begin, you will consider the place of question posing and problem formulation as part of junior cycle mathematics. Then, Dr. Patrick Johnson from the University of Limerick will discuss the terminology of question posing, problem posing and problem statements. He will also discuss problem solving in the mathematics classroom. Following this, you will be presented with some extracts exploring the development of this area in junior cycle mathematics.
