Youth applying for the Providence City Youth Council can expect approximately one activity or service opportunity per month. This council is open for youth in 8th - 12th grade. The council year officially begins in September and ends in August. Activities include a citywide Youth Dance, Swearing-in Ceremony, Christmas Tree Lighting, Ski Night, Day at the Legislator in Salt Lake, Easter Egg Hunt, Parades, City Celebration, and other activities and events that may arise. Youth who are most actively involved in the council will be rewarded with the opportunity to attend the three-day Youth Leadership Conference at USU in March.

Come prepared to participate and work. Wear your PYC t-shirt to activities. Conduct yourself in a positive, friendly and law-abiding manner at all times. Show respect for self and others in dress and language. Arrive on time to meetings and activities (5 minutes early). You must attend 75% of the activities/meetings in order to receive your certificate of completion and qualify for a letter of recommendation. Leadership Conference eligibility is determined by highest attendance for 9th – 12th grade youth members. Enter your name to agree. *
