Frequently Asked Questions and Rules:
• Families with babies, please bring your own sleeping space, such as a portable crib.
• Sleeping accommodations are cabins dorm style with multiple bunk beds. Bring your own pillow and cover.
• Toiletries e.g., shampoo, soap, toothpaste, etc. are NOT provided and you should bring these with you.
• Suggested packing list: Shorts, bathing suits, beach towels, t-shirts, long pants, long-sleeved shirts, two pairs of sturdy shoes or lightweight outdoor shoes (one pair that can get wet and/or dirty), sandals or flip flops for showers and beach use, warm sweater, lightweight jacket, socks, rain gear, bed sheet, light blanket or sleeping bag, pillow, soap/deodorant/shampoo, toothbrush/toothpaste, bug repellant, sunscreen, your medication and your kids’ if you are under treatment or you need any kind of pain killer, allergy medication.
• Everyone is expected to wear modest bathing suits. Camp staff reserves the right to ask campers to cover up if swimsuits are too revealing. Pool has a covered fence for privacy. Different swim times for men and women. Only boys under 5 will be allowed in ladies’ swimming sessions.
• All food, three (3) meals each day (halal) is provided, homemade and cooked by our volunteers’ chefs. However, if you suffer from low blood sugar or some other medical reason you need to eat more frequently than 3 times per day, please feel free to bring some prepackaged granola bars or something similar. Avoid open containers of food and/or fresh produce because these might attract bugs and other critters and they might get rotten if not stored properly.
• No profanity, fighting or misbehavior will not be tolerated in the camp. Disciplinary action for violation of camp rules lies with the MANA camp director and may result in requesting the person to leave the campsite. No refund.
• All campers must follow the schedule of activities throughout the camp dates.
• All campers must obey the counselors and workers at all times.
• Any injury and illness must be reported immediately to the camp nurse and counselors.
• For your safety, please do not leave the campground without the permission of MANA camp director.
• Each camper will be held responsible for deliberate or careless destruction of camp property. Each camper is responsible for personal belongings and valuables.
