This award reflected the importance that VWCC places on academic advisement and the instrumental role that faculty advisors play in assisting students to take responsibility for their educational success.
Please nominate someone who you believe
goes above and beyond the standard expectations of a faculty advisor to promote student success, based on your observation and experiences. In your nomination explanation, please provide a specific example and discussion of how this example demonstrate a novel or particularly student-focused approach to academic advising.
Eligibility requirements, which will be checked by consultation with an HR representative, include that faculty must:
- Have received an evaluative rating of “Meets Expectations” as of the most recently completed comprehensive faculty evaluation.
- Be current in the establishment and assessment of Annual Performance and Professional Development Objectives.
- Be a member of the full-time teaching faculty who is not in the first year of full-time employment as full-time teaching faculty at the college.
