Previously, we asked for TENTATIVE and GENERAL availability to join a picket in person on a Wednesday and Thursday during Fall.

Now, we have dates. And times. So: which shifts can you commit to participating in?

Which picket shifts at UCSD (Gilman Parking Structure) can you participate in?

Full-time faculty should try to sign up for at least 2 shifts. If you cannot stay for the ENTIRE time, that's okay - but please consider this a commitment for most of the shift. For those staying the whole day, please select both shifts that day. :)

Wed 11/17 from 10am-3pm

What role(s) can you sign up to support with (most shifts are 2 hours)?

Picket Captain (training required Saturday 10-11 or Monday 12-1)

Media Interviews (training required Saturday 11-11:30 or Monday 1-1:30)

Chant Leader (be on bullhorn and keep energy up!)

Student/Ally Liaison (be point of contact for student organizations and allies seeking to support)

Rally Coordinator (prepare our speakers agenda and be point of contact for rally speakers; help rally go smoothly)

Sound/Rally Support (be knowledgable about sound equipment and help make it work at rally)

Police Liaison (all day w/training)

Food and Water Coordinator (advance of strike and all day - with Food Runners)

I can help with prep, set-up, and clean-up

Reminder Calls for Strike Shifts (Tuesday -- any time; phonebank runs all day)
