Instructor compensation: Instructors can choose which option they prefer for compensation. With percentage compensation, the instructor receives 70% of the course fee (and all of the material fees, which are paid directly to the instructor at class time). With straight rental fee, the folkschool charges $75 for space rental for a typical 2-4 hour class. Longer classes are negotiated with the instructor. *These fees do not include refreshment costs for the class if desired

*Instructors may be asked to submit a background check if their class proposal is intended for youth or vulnerable members of the population.
