Holding Water, Pull your body past your hand.
Swimming upstream is like swimming in my Endless Pool, the current is pushing you back.  So how can you stay in place instead of get pushed backwards?
How come you can't feel as much hold on the water when the current is going slow, but you have to hold on quickly and really HARD if the current is going fast?
Tell me again about "climbing the ladder."
What happens when you pull straight back in the water and what's our other option (that we've been talking about for a few days now)?
And here's our friend the vortex again, she's spinning the water (yellow)!!!
Now what's with that green arrow?  What's going on there?
Now find the water tornadoes at the corners of breaststroke pull, AWESOME!!!
Every good breaststroke spins the water as they turn the corners of their breaststroke pull.  Is this the only stroke where you spin the water or is it just easiest to see in Breaststroke?

Now let's learn a little about breaststroke
Why do we call breaststroke a "Leg Driven" stroke?
Remember how we needed to find still water to be able to create a vortex?  There it is!
Do you see the white turbulence as her head surges forwards into the water?  Also, check out that totally dry back!!!  She's at the END of her kick and her back is STILL dry!  WE WANT THAT!!!! Now, what's with that other white water (yellow line is just below her hips)?  What stands out to you about this picture?
See how right after she finishes her kick she starts getting herself into a "line"?  Her hands are at the height of the front of her hips, her chest is BELOW the line, her suit is ABOVE the line.
Like a skier going downhill, a breaststroker wants to get as small as possible out front so they can reduce frontal drag as much as they possibly can to pierce through the water.
Ok, now tell me about "Generating Force" and what does this have to do with climbing down the pool?  Is it true that the more force you generate (and the sooner your create it) the faster you can move down the pool?
How long does it take Rebecca to generate force (find pressure, find water) and how long does it take most swimmers?  Why is finding a high peak force EARLY in your stroke, any stroke, important?
Rebecca generates her peak force from this position.
Tell me about what you see in the picture above that you think allows Rebecca to set herself up for Peak Force:
Why must you exert the same amount of force on each hand on both breast and fly?
In this part of the video they show those yellow circles starting close together an then moving away from each other.
What do those yellow circles represent?
Hey that guy talked about "Distance per Stroke," literally!  How does Rebecca's DPS compare to the average swimmer?
