The Western NSW Dance Festival showcases and celebrate dance in public schools from across Western NSW and beyond. An inclusive festival suitable for all levels of performance from public school students from Kindergarten to Year 12.

Please submit a separate form for each item from your school. Forms are due by Friday 17 May 2024 (Term 2 Week 3)

Please remember:

Number of items per school: Maximum of 3 items
Number of dancers per item: minimum 10 - maximum 30
Length of item: Maximum length for primary items is 4:00 mins and secondary 5:00 mins

The prop must be an appropriate weight for 2 students to carry, there is a Work Safe limit of 25 kgs on all props. Free standing sets or props must be secure and weighted at the bottom. Props on wheels must have safety locks.

I warrant that the dance work/s created for the festival are original works or that i have permission for works to be performed at the festival..

I give permission for this work/s to be videoed, reproduced in digital files and photographed by the NSW Department of Education for educational, archival and promotional purposes only.

I have obtained any necessary copyright permission for music, motion picture soundtracks, sound effects and dramatic dialogue utilised in my work.

My principal approves and endorses the above mentioned student dance group/s and teacher/s participation in the 2024 Western NSW Dance Festival.

My principal has viewed our performance in full and can confirm that the song lyrics, costumes and dance movements are acceptable to the school community and will support the values of public education.
