Request a TNVR Appointment
MEOW Now is limited to Pinellas County.

This form is to request volunteer assisted Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return to target community cat colonies or large-scale cat populations. Cats going through this program will be returned to the address at which they are trapped.

For only 1 or 2 cats, please check out Pinellas Cats Alive before requesting assistance through MEOW Now!

The MEOW Now program does not take cats or kittens for adoption. If you are contacting us about cats or kittens that you are seeking to surrender for adoption, please contact Friends of Strays Animal Shelter to discuss possible options. 727-522-6566 ext 115.

Do you personally feed the cats? (please select the most accurate response) *

MEOW Now can most effectively trap cats when we can coordinate with the person or people feeding the cats because controlling the food source is vital to successful scheduled trapping.

If you're unsure who feeds the cats and you are willing to trap the cats on your own, Friends of Strays runs a program called Pinellas Cats Alive which can accept a cat in a trap for neuter-vaccinate-return, Sunday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with no appointment necessary.

Is there anything else we should know in regards to this TNVR appointment request?
By submitting this request, you attest that information provided here is true and correct and that you agree to the following terms:
  • I understand that MEOW Now conducts Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return of unowned, community cats for the purpose of halting population growth humanely. Cats will be spayed(female) or neutered(male), ear-tipped, and vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies, then returned to their outdoor home for release at the original trapping location after the recovery period.
  • I confirm that to the best of my knowledge, these are community cats. The cats are not being kept as my indoor pets, nor to the best of my knowledge are they owned as indoor pets by anyone else. I am not currently fostering them with plans or intentions to rehome, adopt out, or surrender to any agency.
  • I understand that I will not receive paperwork/medical records for these cats.
  • I agree to cooperate fully with Friends of Strays staff and volunteers in accordance with program protocol to humanely trap any/all free-roaming cats at the colony/feeding location which are not confirmed to be already spayed or neutered.
  • I understand that completion of TNVR efforts may require multiple visits and that no cats will be selectively excluded from trapping, unless confirmed to be already spayed or neutered.
  • I confirm that, to the best of my knowledge, none of the cats has bitten, scratched, and/or drawn blood in the past 10 days. I understand that if a bite incident occurs during the cat’s stay, Friends of Strays Animal Shelter will follow public health isolation protocol.
  • I understand that if a microchip is found at the time of surgery, Friends of Strays Animal Shelter has authority to hold the cat for efforts to reunite with an owner/caregiver, and if no one claims the cat, it may then be returned to the original trapping location.
  • I understand that handling, anesthesia, and surgery, always carries some risk.  I hold Friends of Strays Animal Shelter, its volunteers, staff, and facilities harmless should a cat experience complications, injury, escape, or death. I release Friends of Strays Animal Shelter, its volunteers, staff, and facilities from any liability incurred while transporting or caring for these cats.
  • I understand that any cat deemed by the veterinarian to be severely ill or injured will be humanely euthanized.
I have read, understood, and agree to the terms above. *
