The VAWGH Alliances UW chapter includes a medical and global health outreach dedicated to building capacity to support healthcare systems by service across the world. We are a humanitarian organization and social enterprise devoted to improving the standard of living for those that live in some of the most poverty-stricken communities of the world.

Medical outreach: As a team member, you will have the opportunity to shadow medical professionals, work side by side with experienced doctors, perform triage, manage the pharmacy, and teach public health classes to children or teenagers. You will also have free time to travel in the host country, experience a new culture, and build amazing relationships! We are looking for committed participants who will go above and beyond to make this a memorable experience for everyone involved.

Global health outreach: As a team member, you will have the opportunity to work with local families on projects to implement sustainable healthy living solutions. Projects include planting garden and compost boxes to strengthen nutritional security, recycling water by building filtration systems, and constructing latrines for proper waste disposal. You will have free days to explore the new country and immerse yourself in the culture. This is an incredible opportunity for those passionate about environment and sustainability, for those going into the fields of public health, international development, engineering, healthcare, and more!
