Capacity development for evidence-use
Dear Africa EIDM stakeholder,

We are happy that you took the time to respond to this all-important questionnaire.

As the Africa Evidence Network (AEN) Secretariat, we are developing an open-access database of organisations that conduct capacity development for evidence-use in Africa. Our aim is that the database can serve as a tool to enhance collaboration on capacity development for evidence-use across Africa, i.e., enable all of us to easily find other organisations who we can collaborate with. We are developing this database by distributing a survey to be completed by organisations conducting capacity development for evidence-use in Africa.

By capacity development for evidence-use, we mean any initiative undertaken by organisations to enhance capacities - including knowledge, skills and attitudes - that support the use of evidence in decision-making. If you want to read more about this, read the AEN's Manifesto on capacity development for evidence-informed decision-making (EIDM) in Africa:
https://www.africaevidencenetwork.org/en/learning-space/file/189/ (in English), or https://www.africaevidencenetwork.org/en/learning-space/file/191/ (En français).

If you work for an organisation involved in capacity development for evidence-use, we invite you to provide information about its work by completing this questionnaire. The questionnaire should take you between 15 and 20 minutes to complete. By submitting your organisation's information, your organisation gives consent that its information will be included in our open-access database. Once you have submitted the questionnaire, the Secretariat will follow a verification process before adding your organisation's information to the database that will be accessible through the AEN's website.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Charity Chisoro, the AEN's programme officer for "enhancing evidence capacities" via info@africaevidencenetwork.org
