Musically Fed is a 501(c)(3) that works with artists, promoters, management and venues nationwide to donate unused backstage meals to community organizations that feed people facing homelessness, hunger, and food insecurity. We are seeking volunteers to help re-purpose unused catering from concerts at venues around The Valley, including Footprint Center, Arizona Federal Theatre, Talking Stick Resort Arena, Desert Diamond, and others.
These are evening / late-evening opportunities where volunteers will either meet at the venue to inventory, organize, and wrap / pack up food, or they will pick up packaged food at the venue and deliver to nonprofit partners throughout the city. Some volunteers choose to do both!
All positions and shifts are unpaid volunteer-based with call times at approximately 6pm for the inventory position and 9pm for deliveries. If you'd like to do both positions, please plan on being available from 6pm to approximately 10pm. More information and detailed instructions will be provided a few days in advance of the concert you sign up for.
QUALIFICATIONS:
> Practice discretion and withhold judgement from recipients and/or other volunteers
> Uphold a friendly and professional attitude
> Must be 18 years of age or accompanied by an adult guardian
> Must have an SUV, pick-up truck, or sedan with deep trunk space if you are helping with deliveries
> Mature volunteers needed,
focused on sustainability, not artist interactions.
