I understand that Team Expectations outlined here below that the coaches place on me. Cumberland Academy Cross Country Team ExpectationsTeam members uphold a rich tradition of honorable behavior. Wherever they are, they are part of an elite team that proudly represents the best this school has to offer. Their honesty and good conduct are the most important contributions they make to the team. This pertains to practice, in school, and in some cases outside of school. Your behavior reflects our team. We expect only clean language and sportsmanlike conduct to others. If there is trouble in school the below disciplinary actions will also be enforced. There is no drug, alcohol, tobacco, and vaping policy. Any of these result in automatic dismissal. On or off campus. Team members place academics as a number one priority. You should make all effort to attend A.M. (morning) tutorials and be on top of your school work. You should never be late with your school work. Team members should make effective use of practice. You should have arrived well before the practice starts and have your shoes, clothes, and hydration ready to go. Our time is valuable. Attendance is required for all practices. All summer practices are required unless you are out of town or under a medical circumstance. Then a parent note is required. During the school year all practices are required unless of emergency. You should make other arrangements such as work, haircuts, drivers ed, shopping, picking up siblings, etc. If you’re not sure it’s better to ask. If you need to see the trainer you will report to practice first. This includes the athletic period and after school. It will count as an absent if you do not. Even if we know you are with the athletic trainer. All shirts stay on when we are on campus. As a valued team member you will come to practice ready to work at the prescribed effort by the coaches with a positive attitude with laser focus. HAVE FUN and bring a great attitude!
