Checkmate Alzheimer's Chess Tournament
Thank you for your interest in the Checkmate Alzheimer's Chess Tournament, organized by the Alzheimer's Association and Chess in the Homes.

Description:

Each team will be comprised of a high school/college student and an older adult. You are encouraged to play with a family member! On the registration form, you will be asked whether you already know a student/senior teammate that will play on your team. If you know someone who will play on your team, only one of you has to fill out the form below. If you don’t have a teammate preference, we will assign a pairing for you. Each team will be put into a breakout room on Zoom and stay in it throughout the duration of the tournament.

Instructions for STUDENTS ONLY:
1). Make an account on https://lichess.org/signup
2). Join our team on Lichess.org: https://lichess.org/team/checkmate-alzheimers. Type in the password "CheckmateAlzNOW"

Students should screenshare the game with their senior teammate in the breakout room so that they can play against other teams together. There will be 5 rounds with a time control of G/10+10 (10 minutes per team with 10 seconds added to your clock after you make a move).
