Thanks for your interest in doing a show on Radio Buena Vida.
We aim to encourage, support and promote show hosts from all backgrounds and experience levels. You do not have to be a professional DJ, just someone with a great music collection, passion and an original idea.
We are currently prioritising proposals for the following styles of shows:
- Music genres outside the fields of house and techno.
- Themed shows with some discussion/a narrative around the music being played.
- Music which explores and represents artists, countries and cultures from outside of the UK/Europe.
- Artists/music from artists based in Scotland, creating their own music.
We are particularly keen to support women, trans and non-binary people, POC and members of the LGBTQI+ community and people from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
As an independent station we want to support independent artists and labels and are therefore not looking for show proposals for commercial mainstream pop/EDM.
Please note, if your submission is successful, you will be invited on air for a first one-off show. If this goes well, you will be invited back in for a few more shows before being considered for a residency. An invitation to do a show is not an automatic residency on the station.
