Decision Point Lesson 11 Turn In
There are two kinds of questions in these Turn Ins. There are two kinds of questions. Accountability Questions have right and wrong answers. Feel free to use your workbook or the videos themselves to help you answer these. Reflection Questions do not have right or wrong answers; they ask you to apply the ideas to your life and have the courage to share yourself with me. Please spend a few moments considering these and provide meaningful answers, not brief surface level ones.

1. Reflection Question: In the introductory video, Everything is Connected, Matthew Kelly speaks of the fact that there is plenty of food in the world for no one to be hungry but as a species we don't share it properly. What's your response to that reality? *
2. Reflection Question: The oft-repeated theme of this whole lesson is that you were made for a mission, designed by God with a purpose to fulfill. Consider this idea for a bit and share your thoughts and feelings: do you accept this idea? Why or why not? Do you have an idea what your purpose might involve? *
3. Accountability Question: In talking about the world being a mess, Matthew Kelly identifies the root cause of the world being a mess. What is that cause and what should we do about it? *
4. Accountability Question: What parable from the Bible is retold to explain who our neighbor is and how we should be a neighbor? To what world issue does Kelly then connect that parable? *
5. Reflection Question: In this lesson is reiterated a theme from previous lessons - "the world takes the trivial and makes it important, and takes the important and makes it trivial." How do you react to that statement? If you agree, can you give another example? If you disagree, explain why it's inaccurate. *
6. Accountability Question: The lesson identifies three "ordinary voices of God" in our lives that help us identify our mission. What are they? *
7. Reflection Question: What are your talents and abilities? With what has God gifted you to achieve your mission? Is this question easy or hard for you to answer and why? *
8. Reflection Question: The final segment of this lesson challenges us, through the parable of Lazarus and the rich man as well as by sharing the Works of Mercy, to consider our relationship with the poor and with service. Has service and reaching out to those in need been a part of your life? If so, how and what has it meant to you? If not, what's stopping you? And how do you feel about the final challenge to embrace the Works of Mercy every day for a month? *
