In far too many classrooms, the emphasis is on instructional strategies that teachers employ rather than on what students should be doing or thinking about as part of their learning. What's more, students' minds are something of a mysterious "black box" for most teachers, so when learning breaks down, they're not sure what went wrong or what to do differently to help students learn. Learning that Sticks helps you look inside that black box. Learn research-supported learning strategies you can sequence to challenge, inspire and engage your students - and how to teach more intentionally on not only WHAT to do but WHEN and WHY to do it by using an easy-to-use brain-based model of learning. Learning may be complicated, but learning about learning doesn't have to be. Learning that Sticks helps shine a light into all the black boxes in your classroom and makes your practice the most powerful it can be. 

This 15-hour online book study is self-paced for users to complete at their convenience during the allotted time period.  Participants must purchase their own copy of Learning that Sticks. An optional one semester hour of Ashland University graduate credit is available for an additional $249.00.

•No refunds will be provided if a registrant does not attend or cancels registration less than 14 days prior to the beginning of the book study/workshop.  Please contact Rob Engel at 740.653.3193 x 5270 or rengel@fairfieldesc.org to cancel your registration.
•No registration fee will be charged if cancellation is received 14 days prior to the start date of the workshop.
•Credit card payments will be refunded minus any applicable PayPal fees (2.9% plus 30 cents).
