The Connecticut Technical Education and Career System (CTECS) utilizes this ALTERNATIVE INCOME SURVEY to identify students that my qualify for other other assistance outside the free and reduced meals benefit such as, tool and uniform assistance, tuition waivers, summer employment, PSAT & SAT waivers etc. as it pertains to the educational need of the student within CTECS. The district also utilize this data to look at school eligibility based on student percentages that qualify schools for state or federal assistance.
