UPDATE:  The application period for School of Choice ended 2/15/23.  Any application received after this date will be placed on the waiting list. Applications are now being accepted for incoming 2023-2024 Kindergarten students interested in attending Spanish Immersion at Barksdale.  Applications are due February 15, 2023.

Space in the program is limited and open to all students who reside in Montgomery County, TN.  If the student resides outside of the Barksdale school zone, transportation is not provided.  A lottery will be held for all students who have submitted an application by February 15, 2023.  As a part of the application process, students will be screened to determine if early literacy benchmarks have been met prior to enrollment.  You may submit an application after the deadline, however, your child will be placed on a waitlist.

Parents of students selected through the lottery will be notified and asked to confirm commitment to the Spanish Immersion Program by March 24, 2023.  In the event of joint custody, both legal guardians must sign the commitment letter.
