Adoption Procedure for ALL Animals - Viewing of animals is by appointment only.
Thank you for considering adopting a rescue animal from the RSPCA Great Ayton Animal Centre.
The following information is to assist you through the adoption procedure.
● Choose the animal you would like to consider adopting via our website -
https://www.rspca.org.uk/local/birmingham-animal-centre/findapet#onSubmitSetHere● Complete an online application form for the species you are looking to adopt to enable RSPCA staff to match you with a suitable animal by following the link in their description or choosing the applicable form below.
Dog -
https://forms.gle/PY4cagJ2oFer9bcj8Due to a high volume of applications and emails we are unable to discuss the animals any further until we have received your completed application form
● If the animal you are applying for is a suitable match you will be contacted within 7-10 days by a member of our team, who will give you further information about the animal you have chosen to assist you in making the right choices for yourself, your family, and that you fully understand and are able to meet the animal’s needs.
● A home visit will be required and this will be discussed at the point above.
● If you are looking to adopt a dog and you already own one, or have a regular visiting dog, they will also need to be introduced to each other.
● For rented accommodation, written landlord permission will be required in all cases.
● The final decision will be made by the Animal Centre based on all communication and information supporting your application.
● Adopters are recommended not to purchase specific items for the animal they have chosen until they have received direct confirmation from the Animal Centre and adoption arrangements have been made.
