The Board has Standing Committees chaired by either a board or non-board member made up of a mix of board directors and members. Time commitment is approximately 8-12 meetings a year and may include some additional time outside of the meetings.
The Board also creates Task Forces for short-term needs. These are typically limited in duration from 3 – 12 months. The Task Forces are intended to be outcome-focused to support our mission, strategic objectives or program activities.
Blackhawks survives by the commitment and generosity of our volunteers. We can not do this alone. We need your help or else many things can not be done. There are a lot of opportunities to help out, we hope you will consider participating in whatever capacity you can to make Blackhawks the best it can be.
