The Training event and Toolkit launch for equitable, inclusive, and diverse cancer care, organised byĀ Youth Cancer EuropeĀ and Inclusive Employers Ltd. as part of the EU co-fundedĀ EU-CAYAS-NETĀ project, will take place inĀ Cluj-Napoca, RomaniaĀ and will feature the following sessions:

  • researchers/academics:Ā 3 - 6 June 2024
  • healthcare providers:Ā 6 - 9 June 2024
  • patient organisations:Ā 9 - 12 June 2024
*Each training session is designed to cover a 2-day program. However, we have allocated 4 days for each session to account for arrival and departure days, ensuring that participants have ample time to travel and settle in before the training begins.

The training sessions, featuring theĀ Train-the-Trainer Toolkit, were designed in collaboration with patients, academics, and healthcare providers, ensuring that the training addresses real-world challenges and provides practical strategies for promoting Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in cancer care.Ā 

These sessions cover cultural awareness, recognizing inequality, inclusive communication, creating a safe environment, supporting families, and empowering patients, addressing discrimination, conducting comprehensive needs assessments, employing inclusive research techniques, effective advocacy, and much more.

Please note that the content will be delivered in English.

Successful applicants will enjoy full expense coverage of travel, accommodation, and on-site meals.
