Trampoline & Tumbling Volunteer Application Form-  2023 NZ Gymnastics Championships 
Welcome to the New Zealand National Gymnastics Championships 2023 Volunteer application!
We are on the lookout for some fantastic people who can give us a much needed helping hand at this year's championships!

How to get involved:
Simply fill out this Google Form and join the Nationals team from Wednesday 5th July to Saturday 8th July 2023 at Mercury Baypark Arena Tauranga!

Role Descriptions are listed below.
Please note that training will be provided where necessary.

Trampoline spotters
Trampoline spotters are responsible for breaking the fall of athletes if they come off the trampolines, and as such, are integral to ensuring the safety of the athletes. Spotters need to be physically fit adults able to concentrate for extended periods. Previous experience spotting is preferred but not necessary, training will be provided.

PROVINCIAL REQUIREMENT: Each Province is required to supply a spotter for a session each day. Small provinces may apply for a dispensation to not supply a spotter.

Marshalls 
Marshals are responsible for organising athletes into their order of competition and escorting them from the warm-up/marshaling area to the competition area and vice versa. Some knowledge of the code for which volunteers are marshaling is required.

Announcers
Announcers are responsible for welcoming spectators to the venue and keeping them informed throughout the day, as well as introducing athletes as they enter the competition area to compete. While some knowledge of the code for which volunteers are announcing is helpful, it is not necessary.

Video Recorder
Video recorders are situated in the competition area and record athletes’ routines. No previous experience/knowledge is required.

Music
Music operators are responsible for playing the music for athletes’ routines as well as the march in music. They work closely with the announcer and floor manager. No previous experience/knowledge is required

Results Assistant
Results assistant works alongside the results manger to ensure that the athletes scores are correctly inputted into our scoring system. To be able to do this role, you must have had experience using either SportTech or ScoreManager.
