Lent: The Way of Curiosity - YOUR QUESTIONS for 3-26-23 Worship Service "Banned Subjects"
This Lent at Church of the Covenant we are together putting on our curiosity hats. As we journey with Jesus, we are opening ourselves to the wonders, the joyous, playful explorations and the deep ponderings of our life of faith, the world, the earth, our souls. On Sunday, March 26, 2023, the 5th Sunday in Lent, in place of a traditional sermon, we will have a special "preaching panel" of fine Covenant-ers that will do their best to field your questions, wonders, and ponderings about life and faith. So much in our world feels like it is taboo - or worse, being banned these days. We want to create some sacred exploratory space to remove the bans, and allow for free exchange. This panel is NOT a panel of experts - but a panel of fellow pilgrims and wanderers in the wilderness of Lent accompanied by the Spirit. But we trust that in making space for some curiosity and questions, we together might be led to deeper wisdom. The goal won't be for specific answers, but deeper wisdom and epiphanies.
Thank you for taking a quick moment here to share your questions, wonders, and ponderings. They can be light, they can be heavy, ALL QUESTIONS are good questions. The questions recorded here will go to the "preaching panelists" for worship on March 26, 2023 at Church of the Covenant. You don't have to leave your name if you'd prefer to be anonymous. Also, depending on time, the panel will take questions "from the floor" in hybrid worship that day. But submitting in advance is helpful as we shape that service. THANK YOU! And blessings this Lent, Rob

In this season of Curiosity, what questions of faith do you hold? Perhaps these are questions you have long held with you since childhood but haven't really asked. Perhaps they feel like "banned subjects". Perhaps they are new questions about living out your faith in the world. Perhaps they are theological, philosophical, ontological, spiritual. Perhaps they are off the top of your head, perhaps they come from deep within. Perhaps they are whimsical, perhaps they are deeply serious. Whatever they are, we invite your inquiry. ALL QUESTIONS are GOOD. And yes, you may ask more than one!!
Any other questions/ ponderings?
Any more??
Thanks for your time and see you in hybrid worship on 3-26-23!
