Ōrākei Youth Film Festival Submission

Our project is a film competition for local high school students (Y11-13) to showcase their talents. This is an exciting opportunity to promote creativity and innovation within the youth community. Students can choose their own topic for the films, which should be 7 minutes maximum.

This event will recognize the importance of the Mission Bay Berkeley Cinemas to our community.

Finalists’ work will undergo a live judging panel, and prizes will be awarded to winners and runners-up. The purpose of this competition is to encourage students to pursue their interests in the creative industries, with the incentive of prize money to go towards funding their future film endeavors.

The films of the finalists will be showcased at a cinema on the 30th of August 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm where popcorn will be provided. Films should be submitted by the deadline of 5 PM on Thursday, August 19th, through this online form
