Key Worker Request Form (NEU Strikes)
During the NEU strikes, Birches Green schools will put in place contingency plans to open for as many children as possible. These plans will be based on guidance from the Department for Education and advice from Robin Hood MAT. We will be considering supervision ratios and staffing capacity to ensure key staff such as First Aiders and Safeguarding Leads can be present. The school will only remain open if it is deemed safe to.

One such measure is to offer places in school to pupils of Key Workers. To be able to plan staffing to supervise children in school, we need to identify who is eligible for a place. Can you please complete the form if you wish to secure a place as you or your partner currently work in the following sectors:
  • Education e.g. teacher, teaching assistant, support staff member, lunchtime supervisor.
  • Healthcare  e.g.  nurse, doctor, consultant, therapist within the NHS
  • Emergency services  e.g.  firefighter, police officer, paramedic
