SSwF is an established tutoring program and is the largest out of school academic enrichment program in Western Louisville. SSwF Founder, Da’Marrion Fleming started the program over four years ago and he designed it knowing that what happens out of school is just as important as what happens in school. Historically the SSwF program has operated with one Tutor Coach working in-person with two Scholar Students.

Each SSwF Tutor Coach is expected to perform the following duties as part of their role:
• Conduct academically enriching tutoring sessions for each Scholar Student – this includes being prepared
and being on time for each session
• Develop trust and build appropriate mentoring relationships with each Scholar Student
• Help develop and foster accountability by each Scholar Student for their academic and personal
responsibilities
• Communicate with Teachers, SSwF Staff, and Parents on the progress of each Scholar Student.
• Maintain Scholar Student information and performance confidential
• The Tutor Coach may be asked to help out another Tutor or perform other duties as appropriate

The Tutor Coach will be paid a weekly stipend depending on the number of Tutoring sessions conducted / hours worked each week. The hourly rate for SSwF Tutors is $12-15/hour ($12-15 per one hour tutoring session). In addition, it is expected that SSwF will conduct training sessions prior to going live with Scholar Students. Tutor Coaches will also be paid at a rate of $12-15 an hour for attending and participating in these mandatory sessions.

The SSwF Tutor Coach hiring process will consist of four parts: 1) Submission of this Application, 2) Applicant Interview that will occur either virtually or in-person in a safe social distanced atmosphere, and 3) Background Check for those applicants selected for potential hire after the Interview process. A requirement of the Tutor Coach position is consent to allow SSwF to have an independent third-party service conduct a background check.4) Mandatory paid training on Friday & Saturday September 22&23
