Commuter students live off campus and should not sign up on the wait list. Commuter permits do not sell out.Unregistered vehicles that are brought to campus may only receive a one-week temporary hangtag and then must be removed from campus. Butler students and employees are prohibited from parking in the Butler Tarkington Neighborhood surrounding campus by legal commitment filed by the City of Indianapolis.Use this form to sign up for the the permit wait list. You will be contacted at your Butler email address if a permit becomes available for your position on the wait list. Permits are offered in the order on this list with limited exceptions. The primary exception is a medical ADA accommodation to have a vehicle on campus.
Please be aware that
unregistered vehicles will be ticketed, including those with temporary one-week
hangtags once they expire. Additionally, students with other parking permits
waiting for a different type of permit will be ticketed if they park in areas
outside of their current parking permit zone. Students who receive multiple
parking tickets may be referred to the Office of the Dean of Students for
student conduct action. By completing and submitting this form, students
acknowledge that they understand if they are found responsible for violating
parking regulations they could lose their spot on the waitlist.
