Digital Defenders Training Webinar
Date: Friday 15 May (7pm AEST, 6:30pm ACST & 5pm AWST)
Zoom link: https://amnestyau.zoom.us/j/93448356485

Digital Defenders are people who commit to change the conversation on social media in order to promote and defend human rights.

On social media, ideas spread far and wide, and can have long lasting impacts in real life. As an Amnesty Digital Defender, you can help to create a community that values compassion, inclusivity, and solidarity with our fellow human beings. Through this program you can help to shift public sentiment, influence decision makers, and defend human rights.

This webinar will equip you with the skills to change the conversation online through a structured response to comments that are discriminatory or include misinformation. To be part of this new program, you will need to attend the initial training webinar and a follow up weekly meeting over four weeks with your fellow Digital Defenders to reflect and continue to build your skills.
