Community Wildfire Preparedness Grant Funding
Wildfire Adapted Partnership (WAP) was granted one-time funding from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and State Farm for Community Wildfire Preparedness Day activities. Community Wildfire Preparedness Day is Saturday, May 4th, but all projects must be completed by June 1, 2024. Communities in southwest Colorado can apply for a maximum of $500 to help fund their event. The funding can go toward printing, refreshments, supplies for mitigation activities or other items (but they cannot be used as match for other WAP incentive programs such as the Chipper Rebate).

To apply please complete the form below by Friday, April 12th, and you will be notified by April 19th if funds are awarded. If awarded, communities are required to take photos, complete a summary paragraph of the project, track expenses, and track in-kind volunteer hours.
