Scituate Hoop School Summer 2024! Directed by Scituate Boys Basketball Coach Matt Poirier!

Description: Directed by current Scituate Boys Basketball Coach Matt Poirier (more than 375 wins) and former College and High School Coach Will Seward, The Scituate Hoop School program intends specifically to teach the fundamentals of basketball (shooting, passing and dribbling), offensive floor spacing as well as defensive positioning. We dedicate time everyday to teaching and developing the proper fundamentals of basketball as well as how to properly space the floor offensively and defensively. If you want to take the necessary steps to becoming a better player then this basketball clinic is for you. We will teach you how to have a diciplined, and focused long term plan, that ultimately will lead to sustained success. 

We believe basketball is played best, when played fast, with great energy, enthusiasm and a positive attitude, we strive to make this clinic the best teaching basketball clinic in Massachusetts. This program and its coaches have provided countless opportunities for boys and girls basketball players on the South Shore to develop their skills over the past 20 years as well as build positive long lasting relationships with numerous high school players and coaches. Students will be divided into age appropriate groups. Come join us for a First Class Basketball Experience!

Schedule:    August 5th-8th: Junior Division: Boys and Girls Entering grades 4th, 5th, 6th 
                     August 5th-8th: Senior Division: Boys and Girls Entering Grades 7th, 8th, 9th

** Both weeks will run at the same time we will meet Daily in the Big Gym at SHS and split appropriately into age groups for the day. We will use all gym spaces at SHS during the day.

Special Guests Daily: Could include former College and Professional players, Hall of Fame High School Coaches as well as Current and Former College Coaches. 

Pricing:     Week 1: $299  additional sibling discount $270

What to Wear: Basketball Shoes, athletic shorts, T-shirt

What to Bring: Water bottle, Lunch, Money for Canteen (snacks and drinks available for purchase), a great attitude!

Refunds: A camper departing camp early due to an injury in the first half of camp will receive a prorated refund minus a $50 administration fee. No refunds are given for no shows, homesickness or campers sent home for disciplinary reasons. No refunds will be given two weeks prior to camp as staffing will be set.
