most Second Thursdays of the month - 11:30 am - 12:30 pm on zoom
Fill out this form to receive the zoom link and monthly reminder to practice. You can attend once, every month, or anything in between. You are always welcome.
Every
day you put your heart into creating the world we want to be living in.
Yoga is one incredible way to practice shifting our relationship to
that work, from burnout and overwhelm
to loving boundaries and life affirming choices. As Susanna
Barkataki says, “yoga
IS social justice."
Join us for monthly CCF-MN yoga lovingly designed with you in mind. We’ll root our practice in the spirit of the
CCF
principles
by prioritizing our interdependence, nurturing belonging, and
connecting to our purpose of creating more equity, justice, and
community care. This yoga is for everybody with no experience required.
Together, we’ll practice slowing down, getting curious, and choosing values aligned actions on and off the mat. Enjoy a
gentle and nurturing practice with time to connect with each other,
create a bit more space in our bodies, breathe more deeply, and recommit
to a practice of self care that honors your inherent self
worth.
Meet your Teacher:
Jillian
(she/her) is a cis, queer, white-woman who embraces yoga as a practice
of attunement. She sees yoga as a process of being in right relationship
with ourselves, so we can
be in right relationship with each other. Her sister introduced her to
yoga in 2004, and ever since, Jillian has been drawn to its power to
(re)connect body, mind, and heart. Whenever she faces difficult
decisions or personal challenges, Jillian roots into
yoga for clarity, healing, and resilience. Her journey toward becoming
an embodied yoga teacher continues to be a beautifully transformative
process. She is grateful for the ancient wisdom of yoga as a constant
source of healing, justice, and joy in her own
life and in community.
Jillian
takes a gentle and generous approach to teaching yoga and focuses on
nurturing a sense of belonging for all people in all bodies.
She completed her 230 Hour teacher training in early 2021 at
The
Yoga Center Retreat and is beginning her 300 hr teacher training this June with
Susanna
Barkataki.
As a companion on your yoga journey, she will meet you where you’re at
with compassion, curiosity, and perhaps most importantly, without
judgment. Together, you will practice
listening to your body’s wisdom, cultivating self-love, and showing up
whole and messy in the process of being better humans together.
Jillian
has spent most of her career in and around the nonprofit sector
including stints as an educator, construction supervisor, fundraiser,
and consultant. She lives in Minneapolis
with her spouse and delightful rescue dog, Lettuce. She loves to share
the story behind their dog’s name, so be sure to ask!
