Community Medical Centers’ (CMC) #WordsOutspoken Project, funded by The Center at Sierra Health Foundation, is launched to increase understanding of substance use, opioid use and behavioral health through the cultural lens of youth from communities of color, as well as increasing access to treatment in San Joaquin County by increasing referral pathways and collaborating with community partners on a spoken word/poetry, multi-media and a social media campaign culminating in a #WordsOutspoken youth summit. This project not only involves bringing awareness, but also presents solutions.
