All of our camps are run by Canopy staff and include trapeze and other aerial instruction, arts and crafts, and free exploration time. Most camps are 5 days long and run from 9 am to noon. Some weeks have an optional afternoon session that runs 12pm-3pm. In order to register for after-camp, campers must also be registered for morning camp.
We will also have early drop-off starting at 8am. You must pre-register by emailed teacher@canopystudio.org so we can appropriately staff morning drop off. It is strictly supervision not instruction or entertainment. Please have your child bring a book or something to keep them entertained until the start of camp.
For all camps, students should arrive at 9am. They will have a 30 minute warm up and then be split into groups according to age and experience. The groups will participate in trapeze skill time and art, then switch. There will be a 15 minute snack to recharge and rest their bodies. The last 50 minutes of camp will be a group activity; this could be a game on the trapeze or the floor, free time on bars or slings, big swings or transfers.
Families are invited for the end-of-the-week performance. This gives the campers a chance to show off what they have been working on during their week at Canopy.
All students must register and pay for camps in advance. Canopy will issue account credits/refunds if we have to cancel. Refunds will incur an additional $20 admin fee. No payment disputes will be considered after 90 days from the transaction date. Account credits will expire after 12 months.
