LEA Request Form: CARES-ESSER Allocation Adjustment
The period of availability on your CARES-ESSER grant is March 13, 2020 through Sept. 30, 2022. LEAs have flexibility in how these funds are distributed across FY20, FY21 and FY22. Eligible LEAs may now apply in EGMS for the FY20 portion of the overall CARES-ESSER grant award (i.e., March 13, 2020 through Sept. 30, 2020). OSSE will release the FY21 application in EGMS on Aug. 24 which will be for costs planned for Oct. 1, 2020 through Sept. 30, 2021.

OSSE has populated EGMS with a default allocation for FY20 of 30 percent of your LEA’s total preliminary allocation. The default allocation that will be loaded into your FY21 application is 40 percent of your LEA’s total allocation (unless you have already spent beyond this threshold or previously requested an update). However, this grant program is flexible. An LEA can request a different amount, higher or lower, for FY20, FY21, and/or FY22 not to exceed the LEA’s total allocation by completing this form.
