Join us for an exhibit opening reception of Yuima-Ru on July 25, 2023 featuring stories of the Okinawan Diaspora community in Canada. As part of the Maru: Immigration Stories temporary exhibit series, this exhibit draws on a wide range of experiences from individuals and the collective. We hope that this exhibit will create a space for the Okinawan community and Torontonians alike to reflect on the Okinawan Diaspora cultural heritage and history and create conversations surrounding their own experiences.
