OCB mCDR - Southeast Regional Node - Interest Form
The Ocean Carbon Biogeochemistry Program is organizing a Marine Carbon Dioxide Removal working group with six place-based regional nodes. This interest form is for those who would like to connect with the Southeast Regional Node. Our node is focused on capacity and community building around mCDR in the Southeast US. With the growing interest in mCDR technologies and the growing urgency around ocean-based climate solutions, now is the time to build the community needed to address the many challenges and opportunities related to this important topic!

The Southeast regional node would like to connect a diverse set of stakeholders - in science, government, industry, local communities, nonprofits, and more - to discuss how mCDR affects our region, and identify priorities for developing the community, infrastructure, and science we will need to understand and implement responsible mCDR in the Southeast.

If you would like to be a part of this conversation please fill out the interest form below, and feel free to forward to any other individuals or stakeholders you think may be interested. We want to cast as wide a net as possible!

We plan to establish a leadership council to map priorities and share resources, with a larger in-person event to follow in 2024. Your responses below will aid us to know how best to serve the community.

Thank you and looking forward to getting to know you all in the coming months -

Your Southeast Regional Node Co-leads,
Adrienne Hoarfrost (University of Georgia) & Tyler Cyronak (Georgia Southern University)
