ACM SIGCAS/SIGCHI Computing and Sustainable Societies takes place once a year. The general chair(s) for the conference and the location are decided about a year in advance by the COMPASS steering committee, which is chaired by Nicki Dell (nixdell@cornell.edu). Please do contact Nicki or the current COMPASS chair (chair@compass.acm.org) if you have any questions.
Since 2023, long papers for the conference are papers accepted in the previous year to the ACM Journal on Computing and Sustainable Societies (JCSS). The conference should be hybrid, with an expected attendance of about 150-200 in-person and 50-100 virtual attendees. You are free to propose additional tracks, but the proposal should include at least short papers, notes, panels, and demos.
