2019 Su Ma Ma Chinese Club Chinese Summer Camp
Su Ma Ma Chinese Club 6th Annual Summer Camp

Su Ma Ma loves our students in the Chinese Immersion program and is excited to spend more time with them helping them learn Chinese.  We will  organize the students into groups according to language proficiency.  Language events will be based around many Chinese storybooks. The one week course will be thematic and students will be able to learn the skills to ask, ponder, discuss, organize information, and create new stories all around a fun theme. The camp will include learning music, Kung Fu, Erhu, Chinese yoyo, playing Chinese Games, and other fun Chinese activities to practice their speaking, reading and writing skills. Students will all have accomplished the Chinese Language challenges assigned to them by the end of the week. Students  will definitely be excited to start a new year after learning through this fun refresher course.  We will focus on a different topic each week of the summer camp course. There are also afternoon field trip opportunities available. The students will be able to travel with Taiwanese students and enjoy fun activities together. We also invite LiHan Shen to teach the Chinese yoyo lesson. Chinese yoyo is one of the most popular event that our club friends love. Come and join us for this fun summer.

Membership fee: $15/year for the first child, $13 second child.
$40 for family discount for 3 and above.

*What does Su Ma Ma Chinese Club membership fees include?
Answer:
Su Ma Ma Chinese Club membership fees includes:
  1. Free admittance to semi annual club activities etc.
  2. Chinese book club or fun lessons with discount price.
  3. Discount on the Chinese Summer Camp
  4. Support our club service project:
International pen pal services and Chinese library.
  5. Opportunity for students to participate in service hours and cultural exchange program.

* What have we been using membership fees for?

Answer:
We try to use as many volunteers as possible. However, nothing comes for free. That's why we need the membership fees to help our club service provide quality and safe events.

For now, 100 % of our membership fees are used on party location rental, food, material and insurance so far. Mostly, rental fee and insurance fees. If you like our learning ideas, please invite your friends to join us and help us. We are hoping our Summer Camp income can cover the shortage of our yearly insurance.

* We are the parents who want to help and volunteer. Can we help?

Answer:
Yes, Yes Yes! We need more help in many ways, for example creating more service projects and ideas during our cultural exchange programs. We also need help finding host families for cultural exchange programs. We also need help in fundraising. We have lots of great ideas and resources. But we can't do it without your help.

* Do parents need to drive students to afternoon field trip locations?

Answer:
Yes. We need your help to drive your students to field trip locations.

* Can I sign up if I am not a Wasatch elementary student?
