Proposed Course content:
This five-day
course will run in late November/early December over a two-week period. The structure of the course will depend on the
expression of interest preferences and tutor availability.
This course
will take you through the main elements of accounting within the film industry
and will include the budget, Section 481, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Petty cash
& more. The course will be interactive and will include typical examples of
timesheets, invoices etc. Participants will be encouraged to ask as many
questions as needed and to speak up if they do not understand a certain
element. The course is designed to entice new entrants to the industry and give
them an overview of what the job entails.
