FORMAT
Players will be split by ability into 7 separate bands, which will be played in one round robin group. Players will get lots of games at their level with winners and runners up from each Band being presented with trophies and or prize money. Coronation Cup will be played on 14 tables in the main hall of St Matthews and is open to all the top players in the country and club players of all levels.
Band 1 winner £125 plus over £350 worth of Teessport vouchers for all other winner and runners up.
Entries will be limited to the first 60 players, so get your entry in quick.
The winner of the Coronation Cup will be the player with the best average from all the bands.
TOURNAMENT REGULATIONS & INFORMATION
- The current laws of table tennis and the current rules & regulations of the ITTF & TTS will apply.
- Hall will be open from 8.45 am and matches will commence at 9.30 am.
- All matches will be the best of 5 games and 11 points up, time permitting.
- If it is necessary to restrict entries, then this will be determined by the Tournament Committee
- The Tournament Committee will allocate players into Bands based on player ability and rankings.
- Players without a rating/ranking will be placed appropriately by the Tournament Committee.
- No expenses will be paid to any competitor.
- All competitors will be required to umpire and failure to do so, when asked, could result in disqualification.
- ITTF dress and racquet regulations will apply. (Main colour of clothing must NOT be white and replica football kit is not permitted).
- Changing rooms, showers, catering and car parking facilities are available at the venue.
- Butterfly R40 balls will be used in all matches.
- Bands will be made up of either 8 or 9 players, guaranteeing each player 7 or 8 matches.
- Completion and submission of this entry form signifies agreement by the entrant to ALL conditions of the tournament.
- Closing date for entries is Sunday 30th April 2023. Entries received without fees will not be accepted.
