Survey to Equip
The following questions are designed to shed light on who and where you are spiritually and to equip you to use your passions and talents. We believe that if you know where you are gifted, you can be the most effective in all areas of your life. With this clarity, you gain purpose.
Out of the information gained, we want to give you opportunities, wisdom and advice on how and where you can put into action your God given potential. Some of the opportunities will be specific to East Valley Bible Church, but others may be in your personal life, work life or your future yet to be known.
Here are two guides when you take this survey.
1. Answer the questions by yourself first.
2. Find a friend who knows you rather well and talk through the questions and answers.

About You...
Do you naturally ponder the need for change in a given situation and can’t help but question why things shouldn’t or couldn’t be better? *
Are you both curious about and bothered by unmet needs, unfulfilled potential or unrealized aspirations? *
Can you sit in your wonder, idealistically contemplating an issue or problem for relatively long periods of time? *
Are you naturally drawn to formulating ideas, seemingly out of nowhere, to solve the problems or address the needs that you or others identify? *
Do you thrive when given a blank slate and a problem that needs a new idea? *
Have people said something like, “He/she always has a new idea or solution, even if we don’t ask for one”? *
Do you have a knack for instinctive, intuitive judgment and evaluation of ideas and options? *
Are you good at naturally discriminating between good and bad ideas, plans or advice? *
Would others say you are good at quickly evaluating an idea, proposal or suggestion—whether they came up with it or not—even without data? *
Do you have a natural and uncanny ability to assess whether something has the potential to work, and what adjustments might be necessary to make it successful? *
Do you have a natural energy to rally others to get involved through inspiration, enthusiasm and an initial call to action? *
Are you drawn to areas of selling, evangelizing, recruiting, inspiring and instigating? *
Do you feel the need to motivate others and propel plans that are worthy? *
Are you naturally inclined to offer enthusiastic support to a person who needs assistance with a project, function or idea? *
Are you content to NOT insist on doing things on your own terms? *
Do you downplay your tendency to support and serve where needed; perhaps seeing it as “just being nice”, or perhaps even associate it as a weakness comparable to being a pushover? *
Does precise execution, ensuring that whatever is being worked on, is fully accomplished and carefully achieved inflame a passion within you? *
Do you need to know that you have met or exceeded required standards of performance and that the work has had the desired impact? *
Do you desire and feel compelled to continue doing what is required even when a project or program has lost its novelty, changed speed or direction, or attention has been diverted elsewhere? *
While most people feel the need for appreciation for their work; do you derive more satisfaction from knowing that the work was completed, was done well, and has achieved its desired result? *
