Boston Water and Sewer Commission public lot feedback
The Boston Water and Sewer Commission's public lots, or BWSC lots, which were identified as sites for potential affordable housing development in Mayor Wu’s public land for public good land audit, have been under a BPDA-led community planning initiative since April 2023 and last week the draft RFP’s were released.

Reclaim Roxbury has suggestions for improvement, which you can see on our blog post HERE. We also want to hear from you! Please complete the form below by July 27.

Do you agree with our recommendation that we have the housing affordability breakdown in the RFP go as follows:

Here is some background info on AMI's
*

  • 1/3 of total units affordable to households earning up to 30% AMI ( $0-$44,520/year income for a 4 person household)
  • 1/3 of total units affordable to households earning 31% to 70% AMI (40,080-$93,520/year income for a 4 person household)
  • 1/3 of total units affordable to households earning above 70% AM ($103,880- above/year income for a 4 person household)

The BPDA's current draft proposal is:

  • 1/3 of total units affordable to households earning up to 50% AMI (0-$74,200/year income for a 4 person house hold)
  • 1/3 of total units affordable to households earning 51% to 70% AMI ($74,200-$103,880/year income for a 4 person house hold)
  • 1/3 of total units affordable to households earning above 70% AMI ($103,880 and above/year income for a 4 person household)
