. The CCI is
. It is closely aligned with the Observation and Conference Report (OCR) and helps determine if teacher candidates are meeting the appropriate performance benchmarks during CP2 or if further support is necessary.
- At the start of the year-long Clinical Practice internship, clinical interns must conduct an initial pre-assessment/self-evaluation by completing the CCI. This will help guide the intern’s goals and progress throughout Clinical Practice.
Clinical Practice II (Feb. and April):
- At the midpoint of CP2 (mid-/late February), clinical supervisors and cooperating teachers must complete the CCI independently (formative assessment). They are to hold a joint midpoint conference with the clinical intern to discuss their CCI ratings and comments. The intern's strengths and areas for improvement, including goals and action steps, should be addressed.
- At the completion of the internship (late April/early May), clinical supervisors and cooperating teachers must complete the CCI independently (summative assessment). They are to hold a joint final conference with the clinical intern to discuss their final CCI ratings and comments.
- At the very end of Clinical Practice II, clinical interns must conduct a final post-assessment/self-evaluation by completing the CCI. This will help guide the intern’s future goals and progress.
