Statement of Faith
We believe in:

1) One true God, the Creator of all things, eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
2) The unique divine inspiration of Holy Scripture, and therefore the entire trustworthiness and authority of the Bible in matters of faith and conduct of believers.
3) The value and dignity of all human beings, created in God’s image to be stewards of creation, created to live in love and holiness/justice with one another. All humans are alienated from God and each other because of rebellion (sin), and are in need of God’s salvation.
4) Jesus Christ as God’s Word incarnate: both fully human and fully God. According to the Scriptures, his life, death and resurrection exemplify God’s love for all humankind. He is Christ crucified as the sole basis of our redemption from the guilt, penalty, and power of sin. He is Christ resurrected for our hope of eternal life.
5) The necessity of humans to turn away from their narcissism and attempts at self-sufficiency (independence from God). They are justified by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ and his substitutionary work alone.
6) The personal indwelling presence and power of God through the Holy Spirit in believers who choose God’s new way of obedient service to Him.
7) The priesthood and unity of all believers, under one Lord Christ, from all nations and backgrounds (one Body the Church universal), manifest in worship, witness and use of the gifts of the Spirit for the benefit of all and the realization of God’s kingdom.
