North Star Award
Across the world the North Star is seen as the Anchor of the Northern Sky, a constant, reassuring presence.   It can help people determine and guide them in a purposeful direction.  Symbolically, the North Star is seen as a beacon of hope and inspiration.    

Please complete the form below to nominate a staff member who embodies the traits of the North Star.  Anyone (Student, Parent, or Staff Member) may complete a nomination. 

Each Quarter, Student Council will read through the nominations for the North Star Award and select the winners.   Staff may be nominated more than once but they will only receive the award once in a school year.

  3. Give detailed examples of why you are nominating this person for the North Star Award!

Example: 

I am nominating Ms. Frizzle for the North Star Award.

One reason Ms. Frizzle should win this award is that she is very creative in her lessons.

Another example is that Ms. Frizzle always makes sure everyone is included.

Finally, she respects the interests of her students and tries to include them in her lessons.
