I have lived here 16 years and the Church Square Park dog run has never had as many problems as today. From 6 AM to 7 AM there could be more than 25 dogs in the run barking incessantly and disturbing the quality of life of all the residents in this neighborhood. People who do not live next to the dog run do not care that those loud barks at that hour permeate the houses around the park. Municipal code prevents construction before 8 AM and the same should apply for the CSP dog run.

More dog owners and walkers enter that dog run at all hours -- often after midnight and even at 3 o’clock in the morning -- and the dogs bark and wake up residents.

I ask your support for the City Council to make two changes:

+ Church Square Park dog run should be open from 8 AM to 10 PM.

+ The Parks Department should lock the two entrances to the dog run from 10 PM to 8 AM.
